A skilled military strategist, he spent much of his reign engaged in warfare in order to accomplish his goals. He embarked on a mission to unite all Germanic peoples into one kingdom, and convert his subjects to Christianity. In 771, Charlemagne became king of the Franks, a Germanic tribe in present-day Belgium, France, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and western Germany. Unlike in Zeus, the Grand Market Square can be used for common housing blocks and is strongly recommended later in the campaign.Charlemagne (c.742-814), also known as Karl and Charles the Great, was a medieval emperor who ruled much of Western Europe from 768 to 814. If you reach the point in the campaign where tea is available and required, you should build grand market squares, instead of common market squares. The best thing is to build additional food shops: they become "cumulative" so two food shops can store 1400 food, rather than 700 food of a single food shop. Many folks suggested planning on having only one supplied by multiple feeder warehouses, others mentioned making sure to build your block far enough apart to make it too distant for food vendors to "share". One other quick note, apparently it becomes difficult to manage multiple mills with larger cities. Thats what I ended up doing and didnt have any trouble. Most folks suggested the easiest fix was to reload your auto save and make sure you get the food earlier. Muttly13: Researched a bit online and found this is pretty common. Researched a bit online and found this is pretty common. My understanding is when it runs out of the min food type it isnt supposed to do that. Hence, no one was eating it and my food vendor never went back to the mill as she was full. The market filled with plain food, so it was supplied with well over 700 units of plain. I corrected within a month of game time but the market never went to get the new food. Essentially I ran out of a third food type for a month or so and didnt notice until everyone started to leave. I hit the same thing last night, only with appetizing. Brechnor: I'm not quite sure, I restarted on the same settings and all was fine, I believe it was most likely a glitch.
